Subject combination TDC (CBCS) Honours: Arts

As per TDC (CBCS) Guidelines, students willing to take admission in any Honours course shall have to study one CORE subject along with one Elective Paper (as GE). The CORE and Elective Paper (GE) are to be selected from: English, Bengali, Political Science, Philosophy, Education and History. Apart from this, the students of Honours course shall have to study two compulsory AECC papers.

AECC (Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course): 1. English Communication / MIL Communication: AECC1 2. Environmental Studies: AECC2

A student can offer 4 (four) additional papers under "Additional Generic Elective (AGE)" Course in addition to 4 (four) papers of GE. AGE Course shall be treated as GE Course in all respects but performance under the course shall NOT be considered for calculation of SGPA / CGPA / Award of Degree. The purpose of this category of course is to provide students a wider option to supplement their studies of a Core Course. There shall be equal weightage of CCA for the "Additional GE Course". There shall NOT be any provision AGE Course in B. Com. (Hon's), BBA (Hon's) and BCA (Hon's).
